ASSOCIAÇÃO PORTUGUESA DE CLARINETE
The Associação Portuguesa de Clarinete (APC), founded in 1994, is the oldest association in Portugal belonging to a group of musical instruments. Since its creation, the desire to unify all clarinetists in our country is the most important for APC. Linked to this desire is the motto “uniting a country of clarinetists”, which has been with us ever since.
APC is a non-profit association that aims to promote and contribute to the musical and cultural development around the clarinet, thus being able to continue to contribute so that the clarinet in Portugal continues to be a reference on a world scale
Since its creation, APC has been developing numerous activities, including:

National Congress, held in Lisbon, in 1995;

International Congresses of Porto, ClarMeet.Porto, in 1997, 1999, 2001;

The APC International Clarinet Competition, 1st edition, held in 2001;

National Competition for Young Clarinetists;

ClarinetFest – World Clarinet Congress, held in Porto, in 2009;

ClarMeet.Porto in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

In conjunction with the European Clarinet Association, at the 2017 ClarMeet.Porto, the 7th edition of the European Clarinet Festival was held;

ClarMeet.Lisbon, in 2019;

In 2020, due to the pandemic conditions occurring at the time, ClarMeet took place in an online format.
The ClarMeet is the reference event organized by APC that annually counts not only with several artists of national and international renown, but also with exhibitions of the most varied brands related to the clarinet, thus offering, to all lovers of this instrument, musical and unique experiences that will enrich your musical journey.
