Esther Georgie
Esther's career began as a child as a soloist, with piano and clarinet, having also played frequently with her pianist mother in recitals.
He received first prizes at the International Young Concert Artists Competition, London Young Artist's Platform and the Frederick Thurston Memorial Prize among others. She has been invited to play for members of the Royal Family including HRH the Prince of Wales, and Queen Elizabeth, and has also collaborated as First Clarinet with the Royal Liverpool Phiharmonic Orchestra in their 150th anniversary commemorative concerts.
Esther was Principal Clarinetist of the Gulbenkian Orchestra of Lisbon, for more than 32 years, working with the greatest musicians of our times, also performing many solo concerts for clarinet and orchestra with a wide range of repertoires, from the most classical to contemporary works, some dedicated to her .
Esther continues in Portugal, her work in the field of recital (chamber music and soloist) and as a guest teacher on masterclass occasions.
